Tutor requests for the Fall 2009 semester will be taken from Wednesday, Sept. 23 until Monday, Nov. 9
To Request a Tutor:
- Meet with your professor. Requests for tutors will not be considered until a student has met with his/her professor to discuss possible options for departmental tutoring, attending office hours, group study sessions,
etc. Please also note that tutors cannot be assigned until you have received back at least one graded assignment from the class for which you are requesting a tutor.
- Fill out a tutor request form and questionnaire at the Academic Resource Center, Leavey Center, Suite 335. The Center is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- When you submit the request form, schedule an appointment to meet with the Coordinator of Student Services.
- When a tutor is available, you will receive his/her contact information. If you do not hear back from the Coordinator of Student Services after one week, you should follow up with them about your request.
- You must contact your tutor within one week of receiving the contact information. You must arrange a meeting
with your tutor no later than the following week. You may not be tutored for
more than three hours per week in each subject, for up to two subjects.
- Each time you meet with the tutor, sign their time sheet to verify the times and days of the service.
