Note-Takers

If a student requires a note-taker as an accommodation for his/her disability, that requirement will need to be stated in the letter from the Academic Resource Center [see Procedure for Requesting Accommodations]. It is then requested that the instructor, without identifying the student, make a general announcement to the class that there is a need for a student note-taker and request volunteers. Once a student note-taker is identified, the instructor should refer this student to the Academic Resource Center for further instructions. Student note-takers receive a $75 stipend for their assistance.
