Academic Advising

Students should contact their respective dean's office soon after being admitted to Georgetown to begin discussing the courses in which to enroll for the upcoming semester.

For freshmen students, preregistration takes place during the summer prior to entering Georgetown. The dean's office sends each student a packet of materials, including course descriptions and a list of required courses.

Many of the students with disabilities at Georgetown work closely with an academic dean/advisor throughout their undergraduate years. A close, ongoing relationship with the dean's office will be beneficial in order to select courses and, if necessary, to discuss how to get special assistance.
